Delgadillo's Route 66 Gift Shop

This is a must stop after pulling out of Diamind Creek, great Ice Cream and if you are a fan of the kids movie "Cars" then the stop is even better. I only ate fries and Ice cream which were both yummy...some of my friends had hot dogs, hamburger and they said there were yummy as well. The bathrooms are out back in what looks like sheds, music playing in them and the decor is priceless. Great stop, I would definitely stop again.

I love this historic place! The fact that Angel has maintained this piece of history for generations to come is amazing. I hope I get a chance to go back sometime. It’s somewhere cool that everyone should experience at least once. Just really cool!

Having received a haircut and shave from Mr. Delgadillo, all I can say is...this experience was worth the three-hour drive! All of the people at the shop are extremely kind and caring, and their generosity cannot be duplicated. I look forward to making the annual trek there, just to see them all again! Who knows, maybe they will be bi-annual trips?

Me and my friends stopped off here and were blown away by the hospitality we received. Really friendly people and it was amazing to hear about Angel’s life and his contributions to Route 66. I highly recommend stopping here.

This is the former location of the barbershop that started the whole Rout 66 nostalgia trip. Prices are high, but you can get your Arizona Route 66 passport stamped here. Friendly staff. Other souvenir shops in the area are equally good. Be ready to take many pictures of campy Americana.
