Nice spot in Greenport with indoor and shaded outdoor options. Croque monsieur was a great lunch option, and the accompanying salad was a nice palate cleanser between bites. The rum cake had a lot of rum! My creme brulee was great, very smooth with a rich flavor and a beautiful lightly crunchy top.
Authentic French cuisine and cozy atmosphere. Think we’ve tried most items on the menu, since we keep returning here when we’re in Greenport. Very consistent food. Be sure to leave room for their delicious Crepe Suzette!
My husband and I came here on a Friday night in July for a date night. We were welcomed at the door by the owner, Emily, and decided to sit inside on a hot, steamy night. The decor was beautiful, the service was great and the food was outstanding! I had the soup of the day, which was a cold zucchini soup and my husband had the French onion soup. I then had duck confit and he had the beef stew, which was a special. The portions were huge and the flavors were spot on French. If you are looking for authentic French food, this is the place to be! A perfect date night out with all the right touches.
Fast outdoor dining. We had our old Chihuahua with us and the waiter kindly offered a bowl for our 16 year old fur baby. The service was top notch and food was excellent. Gouda tomatoes Quiche and Short Rib sandwich on a baguette. Delicious. Highly recommend. Very enjoyable dinning outdoors and pet friendly. Highly recommended.
Update Jul 13th 2022 GAZPACHO is delicious !!! Update from Oct 21st '21 see below Had 1 lunch n 2 dinners just in the last week enjoying the variety, the wines n the music. Totally an escape to a french bistro... Update : Oct 21 21. The beef wellington was amazing. Seriously melted in your mouth. Had steak knife but cut with butter knife.. Emily was great and paired it with a smooth red that had 91 pts. Great dinner and she will stay open thru winter
Delicious food. French restaurant. Their Osso buco Italian dish was very good. Mostly French wines and need a better selection.
Pretty cute place. The food is typical Spanish food. Just need little bit more seasoning.
French atmosphere, nice blackboard specials and piped music with some new arrangements. Needs to step up a little. Chicken cordon Bleu was huge, but dry. A duck rillete was a different offering. Onion soup was good..Mousse au Chocolat used milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate, sweet but disappointing
This is the real deal - it's as if a bistro in France had been transplanted overnight to Greenport. I've traveled in France many times and I can vouch for its authenticity. The featured dishes are French, the staff is French, and the owners the present owner and her parents, the previous owners are French as well I do worry about Greenport becoming a Hamptons annex, but this place is decidedly an enrichment. It is not inexpensive, but you can spare the plane fare for a trip to Paris if you dine here.
I ordered the french onion soup and osso bucco. The food arrived suspiciously quickly. I am 100% sure that my soup was a knor powder soup that you just add water and they added onion cheese and bread. It was white when a real french onion is brown. My osso bucco was legitimately cold; to the point that the marrow was solid and the rissoto feels like it came from a pouch. The worst french food I have had. The only positive comment is that our waitress was efficient and very nice. I don't understand the 4 and 5 star reviews. I highly recommend you avoid this establishment.
