I really wanted to like this place, went on a Friday night from 8-10, it was only about half fill of people, food was great.....but the first 3 beers I tried to order they were out of (even though they were both on the menu and on the hand written chalk board). I would let that slide, but 2 of the 3 bartenders could seem to care less to be there, ......which made me care less to be there. Maybe I'll give it another try, maybe not

Came for a chess club and live music, stayed for the murals and art and amazing company. Staff is so very kind and the live band was great!

Loved how the bar downstairs was called "hell" , the artwork was awesome, and massively detailed . however moments later a altercation had occurred with a customer and the girl bartender.. Other than that it was a assume time

Great selection of beers from all over the world. Food is good as well. Don't miss the downstairs area. The murals on the walls are pretty awesome down there.

The best selection of German beer in the Pasadena area. I'd like to think I consider myself a German beer connoisseur (possibly bordering on addict...wait, no, I'm not that bad, am I?), and this place will give you your Deutsche Bier fix! A fantastic medieval decor inside makes you feel like you're in a castle dining hall. The only thing that would improve it is to have traditional German music playing, it would make the vibe/atmosphere completely perfect.
