Bonta Restaurant & Bar

Unexpected, is the best word I have to explain the way I feel about Bonta. My cousin wanted to take me out for my birthday and I went googling to find the perfect Mediterranean grub. Bonta came up with an almost 5 stars so off we went. I looked kinda swanky and we were dressed rather casual. Upon arrival, we we're greeted by the nicest hostess and I later discovered she was the owners wife. We weren't made to feel uncomfortable at all. She as well as all the wait staff were super attentive and courteous. I had the fish and chips, yes, I know, not very Mediterranean at all, and my cousin had the French Onion soup and Cesar Salad, yes, I know... Not Mediterranean. The fish was very crunchy, loved it, and delicious. However, gotta say hands down the French Onion soup turned out to be out of this world. Probably isn't what the chef was expecting as a kudos but if you are a connoisseur, like me, don't miss out on this opportunity!

A great experience from greeting to exit. It looks a bit "fancy" on the outside, and it's definitely got a "nice" place decor inside, but it still has a casual feel. We were not dressed for a more formal place, and they welcomed us with open arms. Friendly front staff, excellent waitstaff - happy and pleasant. Food was very tasty. Not spectacular, but very very good. It was recommended by several people in the area. Well worth a visit.

Wonderful restaurant, a frequent stop for us. Excellent service and great food. Quite a large selection of dishes, something for everyone. Very nice patio that gets afternoon shade is great when the temperature is down.

Been here a couple of times. Great Happy Hour on Food and drinks. I think its from 3-6, but make sure to check. But good prices, so no complaints. Not many restaurants near our home in CC Cove, so its nice having this so close.

Surly chef/owner gave me VERY aggressive attitude concerning the admittance of my registered Service dog who's 5-6 pounds. Also questioned where I sat even though I was 30 minutes early. I wonder if it was my dog or I'm a female African-American. Otherwise service and food was excellent.
