Deschutes National Forest

A year wouldn't be complete without several bike rides to the top of the McKenzie pass. This year the opening was later due to the extensive fires last season. The road is now clean and you can ride gate to gate with no issues. Open only Friday through Sunday due to continued salvage logging and road cleaning. The road is in remarkably good condition.

I love spending time in the Deschutes National Forest. I can take my dog out without a leash and walk 4 miles with no issues. It's well-maintained as far as it goes that a lot of people use it and there's not very much litter that I've come across on my walks which is a good thing. If you have some time go enjoy the Deschutes National Forest.

As the saying goes, "Oregon's beauty is worth every drop!" Awesome Douglas Fir forests, mountains and snow!! Red clay soil, rushing rivers along the highway make fantastic photos.

Beautiful park with amazing walking paths. Very well maintained and clean. There are portions of the park by the main parking lot that border a golf course so be aware of that when you're walking along. Golf carts occasionally Cruise down the walking paths. Golfer's tend to forget that the golf carts belong on the course and not Trails

I love it out here! Its where I come on the weekends to reset for the following week! So many trails and and camping spots! If your looking to get out in nature this is the place to go!
