Always nice to be in fresh air! Even on a holiday weekend it wasn't over crowded. Nice hike with family to the Blue Pool. If you go on this hike be sure to wear shoes, not flip flops (I saw so many people with them on and heard the comments 'I should have worn shoes'), take water and healthy snacks. The hike is moderate but 2.7 miles. Make sure you use the restroom before starting your journey as there isn't any on the trail.

So beautiful. I was hoping I would get lost. Check out the historical records and details of the area. Lots of awesome facts to learn and discover. Very clean water its pure. Absolutely no motor boats allowed.

Went to the trout Creek trail. Poorly marked, small parking pullout. About 2/3 of the trail is pretty narrow. Last 1 km is quite steep, but more open. The viewpoint is okay. No Creek on sight during the hike.

I've grown up here and have moved back to the area. The view never gets old. Beautiful scenery. Excellent places to camp, fish, or just visit for the day. Upper elevations stay cool in the hot summers.

You're in for a treat if you haven't been here yet, or you're craving the sight and smell of tall Douglas Fir trees lining the road. This trip we didn't stay long, but driving through the mountains and watching the clouds settle into the valleys is so beautiful. Be sure to take the drive all the way to the Oregon coast in any season, any weather. The ocean is amazing. Just be safe! Watch out for undertows and "sneaker" waves that come without warning. And, always keep your eyes toward the ocean, never your back. Blessings.
