This is an awesome small town shop. All sort of quality instruments and features custom guitars from local craftsmen. They also offer lessons in the back. All these guys are super knowledgeable and put a personal touch on your instrumental investments.

Nice little local store. Not really for the rock band musician, but good for band moms and kids. Friendly owner.

We bought my son a clarinet through Downtown Sound. The price was significantly lower than any other music store and the quality of his instrument is far better than those of his peers that purchased through Schmidt and Grothe....all refurbished so I am not comparing new to used! The customer service has been top notch as well. Best music store around!

Jim was very helpful in diagnosing issues with our sound system at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Prior Lake. He also did a great job in helping us determine what new wireless microphone would be the best for our church. He is a pleasure to work with & has a great sense of humor!! I highly recommend Downtown Sound!!
