Dr. Asha P. James, MD

Like all dermatologists, Dr. James is a very busy doctor. She is also an exceedingly good one. My wife and I both have fair skin and have each had basal cell surgery with Dr. James--precise and professional. I am grateful she is part of our family's health care team.

Booked with Dr James in May 2017 for a grave skin condition on my child's face. Closest appt was in October. Saw other specialists within the 5 month wait. It was two weeks into Oct before I even remembered. Called to confirm the appt and they told me I had missed it. I asked why hadn't I received a courtesy call or an email prior to the appt. and was told they didn't have a "reminding system" during that time. They give me the option to reschedule, only the next available appt. was April 2018. That's 11 months after I first called. I assume full responsibility for missing the first appt. With young kids and my own medical needs I could forget something scheduled only a week out. I'm just surprised at the 'coldness' and lack of courtesy in trying to amend the situation.
