El Azteca

El Atzeca is an affordable family friendly local Mexican restaurant. The food is good and the service is quick. Unlimited chips and salsa from the moment get seated make this a great place to go if you are already hungry.

This is the best Mexican Food in Iowa!! I lived in Texas for close to 30 years and it has been hard to find great Mexican food in Iowa. But we love this place. We arrange our trips to Des Moines around stopping here. Don't miss it.

Saw this place on our way back North. Very nice staff, and plenty of atmosphere. The menu has many selection, many that are just about the same thing. The A la carte menu was a very nice touch. The food came hot and delicious.

Good food disinterested service. Had to wait a while for chips and just not many smiles to be had from the staff. Would give it 5 stars if the staff was a tad more service minded.

Worst experience we've ever had. The hostess was snotty and unpleasant, the food was nasty and spicy even though it didn't say spicy on the menu. Total waste of over$40 and we will never go back to this location or recommend this restaurant to any one (except maybe our exes ×D)
