Elkhorn Customer Service Center, Division of Motor Vehicles

Called on 11/11 and spoke to June. I am returning to the state of WI from PA. June asks me for my SS# and states I am still in the system. She asked about residency and I informed her that I have a PO Box until I close on my home. June states that is fine. She informed me to have my PA license and that I would be issued a WI license and it would be mailed to me in 7-10 days. Drove to the Elkhorn DVM on 11/12. I get to the counter and am informed that a license can not be issued without a permanent residence because "I don't live in a PO Box". Is it any wonder the DMV gets a bad rap? I informed the DMV employee that whomever trained June needs to be spoken to in regard to the rules. And as for the snarky comment I just let it be and maintained my cool.

4 out of 8 lines open on Friday entire parking lot full and same inside. What a joke. Took way to long. People standing behind counter not doing anything except for bsing with the other employees slowing everything down.
