We had a horrible experience at this place and will never go back. The food was bland (duck and steak) and the service was awful.
We had two servers ask us what kind of water we wanted and we finally got it after about twenty minutes. The server left while in the middle of telling us the specials to deliver food to another table, then the server bulked as we decided not to have a starter stating "well it's going to be 30 minutes before you get your food what will you do with your time". We should have said, "the same thing we have been doing for the last half-hour". Once the food arrived at the promised time, it had absolutely no seasoning on the duck or the steak with over done French fries with no salt and pepper on the table.
The server argued with us over bringing the check after us asking for it twice.
What a waste of money!! If I could given zero stars, I would. The chef did not come to our table but did spend a lot of time in the dining room, which explains the thirty minutes waiting for the food and possibly the poorly seasoned food.

very nice dining excellent food . we were celebrating and ran a 100 a head and it was worth it. Neil our waiter did a fine job. we were yacking it up in the pub area and nobody seemed to mind. the other side seemed more well behaved.

Each dish handcrafted & incredible. Each customer attentively served. Have dined at table & at bar. Loved our blonde female bartender... wish I knew her name.
Ella’s is one of the best restaurants in Little Rhody

Most wonderful plates we've had in the region. Spouse asked for the chefs off menu recommendation and was more than happily pleased with the Duck a duex. Chef Jeanie explained that the crispy leg quarter took 3 days prep and the additional breast prepared traditionally was the best we've ever tasted. My Shrimp and grits were a work of art. Staff were all extremely well trained and provided 5 star service. If you want the best, go enjoy the food from Jeanie and her husband at Ella's Fine Food and Spirits

Though most of the food at Ella’s is quite good, the attitude of the waiters, waitresses, and staff leaves a lot to be desired. I have had repeated instances of rude and arrogant servers. My main complaint with Ella’s is that they refused to make even the most minor modifications or adjustments based on the clients preference. For instance if you ask for something to be well done and they don’t normally do it that way they will not accommodate. For example, they will not let you taste any of the wines before you decide which glass of $10 and up wine you wish to order, unlike almost every restaurant I have ever been to. I am not even talking about substitutions, which you can absolutely forget about your analysis. I am just talking about when I order the $15 hamburger that comes with a fried egg on top I asked for it to be safe firm yolk and it came runny and they were extremely put out at the thought of customizing that egg. Interrupting my conversation, the waitress obtrusively reaches across the table and comes and bothers you with trivial things much more than necessary. It’s not being attentive, it’s being annoying. You can easily spend $150 for two people, with no frills such as dessert or coffee, and only one glass of wine. I will not be back 😏
