Empire Beauty School

Went in to get a blowout and a pedicure. After waiting about 20 min a supervisor approaches me and tells me they can't perform the service because I have my 5 year old son with me and unless he was receiving a service as well that they CANT wait on me according to there policy. Very rude and unprofessional. Never again! Never in my life have I went into a salon with my very well behaved child mind you and been turned away because they don't wait on you unless your child is getting a service done as well! I recommend going to Jolie beauty in wilksbarre ! Very friendly and was happy to service me with my child !

My 10 year old has long hair down past the middle of her back. Where did the girl think it was perfectly ok to cut her hair all the way up above her shoulders? If they can't listen to what the client wants they shouldn't be on the floor cutting hair. I had to take my daughter out of there crying! I will never go back!!!

I've been going here for about 2 years now and have never had a problem up until recently. I went to Empire on July 29th (in the evening) and was wanting to get my hair colored and cut. Idk what the students name was that did my hair but I can tell you she was anything BUT professional. She did not listen to how I wanted my hair cut and now I absolutely hate it. She then felt the need to talk about her fellow classmates and how childish they act/were acting becuse they were all sitting around talking and celebrating another students birthday. She told me how she didnt feel that was very professional. Umm excuse me but your talking trash about other classmates to a CLIENT!!!! Whos the one not being professional now??? I later saw her over at the Dollar Tree getting balloons and stuff for this classmate so she was apparently going to celebrate with the very same people she was complaining about. What really upset me was when she was doing my hair and another classmate had come over to her and they started talking about someone in this other classmates house being arrested and stuff. Again, they are talking about this in front of a CLIENT!!!! So unprofessional. At times I felt as if she was rushing just to get my hair done and wasnt really concerned with what I wanted. Empire is a great school and as Ive stated, Ive never really had a problem up until now and I will continue to go here. I wont let one student ruin it for the others. I do hope the teachers stress how important being professional is to future students. When we clients come to Empire, we dont expect perfection but we do expect to be treated with respect and to be listened too.
