My sister and I moved into a two bedroom apartment in August and we have absolutely loved living here! It's a great location - within walking distance from grocery stores, restaurants and downtown! The amenities are all kept so well and are fixed quickly if something is wrong. We have both felt safe in our apartment and the parking garage! The staff are so friendly and helpful and always available to help with whatever you need. Maintenance has also been great, whenever we have needed something done in the apartment they have done it within 24-48 hours. The only reason we aren't renewing our lease is because I am moving for a job, we highly recommend Encore!
I am not a resident yet. I did come in for a tour and all i can say is all the staff had such a great attitude. After my tour ended i stayed an extra 20 minutes in the office having a great conversation with them. The tour was clean and the hallways where huge. I came to tour to see if this is something i would love to move into in October and they won me over.
So far I’ve liked living here. There has been a couple bumps. The pool and hot tub have been closed for months now which I’m pretty upset about. The stove in the party room doesn’t work. And I got some packages stolen off my door. But overall i love the apartment and the spruce chores are AWESOME. I use them a couple times a month and the cleaning ladies are so sweeeeeet. And they do a great job everytime. Mauri and Bella are great too
After touring 15 yes, fifteen! other apartment communities while moving to SLC, I saw Encore while driving and decided to pull over and give it a chance. It was love at first sight - I signed a lease shortly thereafter and have been happy with my decision ever since. Here's why; 1 - I was given a tour of the community by Amanda Roberts. At that point in my apartment hunt I thought I had seen it all, but Amanda had a unique approach that was informative, friendly, comforting and extraordinarily helpful. She went WAY above and beyond to help me find the perfect apartment with the view and layout that I wanted. Since moving in, she has remained one of the most positive things about living at Encore. I can't speak highly enough about her! 2 - The amenities are clean, updated, and accommodating. Having a heated pool and spa open year-round is absolutely incredible for long, cold Utah winters. The gym is well-equipped and never too busy. The parking garage is well-lit, clean, and spacious - I've never had to search for a spot near the elevator or worry about all the "good" spots being taken. 3 - The apartments are clean, modern, spacious and well-equipped. I absolutely love being able to say "Alexa, goodbye" when I leave in the morning and let her turn off the lights, turn down the A/C, and lock the front door for me without having to lift a finger. The kitchen is very large and has a tremendous amount of cabinet and counter space. The bathtubs are deep and have built-in shelves for toiletries and a headrest/armrests for long baths. The airy balconies are perfect for enjoying the tremendous mountain and city views available at Encore. 4 - The location is excellent, with easy walkability to several grocery and convenience stores, casual and upscale restaurants and bars, the Trolley Square shopping mall, and much more. The Trax station across the street offers unparalleled access to downtown, the airport, Sugar House, and more within minutes. The cross-streets are surprisingly quiet despite being major routes for transportation, and the sidewalks are well-lit and safe for walking at night. If you're considering staying at Encore, trust my recommendation and stop by for a tour. If you're not impressed by the stellar views, spacious and well-appointed apartments, resort-style amenities and top-notch staff, you'll need a lot of luck finding better elsewhere.
The units are fine, but the management will be the reason I move when my lease is up. The pool and spa have been closed for months with no updates. The golf simulator is also broken. I spoke to management about this and they told me it's not being fixed and is what it is. It is the worst management of a building I have ever seen.
Encore is bordering on dysfunctional. trash rules are not enforced. trash piles up by the cans in the garage and by the trash chutes on every floor - PEW!! also, the pool has been closed a majority of the summer. SAD! nothing works here - the call box, the garage doors, even the staff often not present during posted office hours. this place needs help. AVOID!!
Updating post ad as I’ve been living here for three months. Very disappointed. Blinds, fridge, toilet, shower not in good working condition when moving in. Broken fridge/freezer, still having troubles even after three months? Emergency Maintenence number didn’t work when tried it. Golf simulator hasn’t worked since I’ve been here, pool has been shut down for most the time about every other week, trash rules not followed by tenants so smelly hallways. Staff was very friendly upon move in but has changed dramatically. Asked other tenants in building and they had same experience as soon as they experienced a problem and needed customer support. Seems like they are spread too thin.
I've lived at Encore for only a few months but i'm loving every bit of it. It's safe, clean, staff is so helpful, met so many great residents at the pool. Having people over in the clubhouse is great for cooking, playing pool, and jumping in the pool and hot tub. The staff answers emails so quickly and you can drop into the leasing office anytime to talk to a staff member. I have a West facing balcony and would recommend that side the most for the beautiful sunsets and quite side street. The South facing side would be very loud. The North side gets almost no sun, luckily we didn't get an apartment on that side. Everything you need is within walking distance. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially transplants and young professionals.

UPDATE: They quadruple charged my move out utilities and sent me to collections for their mistake. They also keep taking my review down. We lived here for 2 years and could not wait to move out. Everything was great up until the last 6 months before we moved out when the quality of the complex and office staff started to significantly decline. At one point in time, Encore may have been “luxury apartments” but they are not anymore. I find it funny that people are giving Encore a 5 start review for just talking to someone in the office but have never lived there. Serious issues that any prospective resident should be aware of include: 1. Office staff. They have had some great management over the years but that is far from the case at this point. The current office staff is extremely rude, lazy, inconsiderate, never know what is going on, and unwilling to help even when you bring them serious concerns homeless people in the building, vandalism, theft, residents being verbally and physically assaulted in the garage, etc. which is likely a consequence of the high staff turnover. Mauri is the most arrogant and condescending individual in that entire building who should not be an assistant manager with his attitude. 2. Building security. Essentially there is none. On multiple occasions I encountered homeless people sleeping in the stairwells, garage, and elevators. My wife was yelled at by a non-resident in the garage and was terrified that she was going to be assaulted. When I discussed this concern with the office staff, they did nothing, said to call the security service next time, and promised they would work on enhancing building security. They did not do this. 3. AirBNB. Look at AirBNB for yourself. You will see multiple listings which just increases through traffic of non-residents in the building. Because they are non-residents, they don’t care about the building at all. I watched a family from Washington back into a resident’s car in the garage and leave. The office did nothing when I reported it. Additionally, office staff tells residents they are trying to crack down on non-residents parking in the garage, but you will overhear the same staff member telling prospective residents that their friends and guests can park in the garage anytime. 4. Poor building maintenance. Everything is literally falling apart. The garage doors are always broken. The P1 exit door had been broken for 8 weeks before we moved out. Right before we moved out there was a huge leak in the package overflow room which damaged multiple packages. I reported the leak to the office staff but was told to “enter a maintenance request and someone will fix it eventually”. 5. Luxor package system. Never works. You get a Luxor code for the package overflow room, but the door will not open which means you have to wait for the office to be open to get the key. UPS, FedEx, and Amazon just leave peoples packages on the floor by the elevator half the time so anyone can take what they want. 6. Building is downright disgusting. People let their dogs defecate and vomit in the hallways/stairs then don’t clean it up. Encore uses curbside trash pickup which has explicit rules; however, people put their trash out on the weekends and leave it out all day which results in the halls smelling like trash. Finally, people smoke in the complex common areas. If the place doesn’t smell like trash or animal feces, it smells like smoke.
