Federal Hill Eye Care

Before covid I had two regular eye doctors. After covid, one retired and the other relocated too far away. This was my first visit with fed hill eye care and they were amazing. Doctor made me feel comfortable talked to me the entire time which was nice. The nurses were excellent and very helpful. I also found it more affordable then others as well. Highly recommend. Spent less than an hour getting exam, retinal pics and picking new glasses!

My experience during my initial appointment was pleasant. My husband and I went to get eye exams and the attending provider was nice. Today however, we were very disappointed and we will not be returning. We walked in to look at frames. With exception to us, there was one person looking at frames that was being helped. The man looked at us, didn’t say anything and proceeded to the computer. During this time, the administrator greeted us and began looking up our insurance information. Upon telling us about our coverage, I asked her how much for the prescription was covered in which she responded, “you’re going to have to pay for something, you wont just get glasses and not pay for anything.” Need I remind you, that was not my question. As a dental provider, I felt very disrespected because I would NEVER talk to my patients like that. I brushed it off and started looking at frames again. The man helping with frames still did not acknowledge us at this point so we decided to get our prescription and leave. If I’m being honest, we did feel like we were being discrimination against. In just, we will certainly not return and I suggest taking your business elsewhere with an office that values your service.

Dr Scott and his team are excellent! The have help me finding a solution for my double vision and light sensitivity and headache issues that I had for so many years. I have been going this past 2 years to so many eye doctors but only Dr Scott understood what was my problem and was able to play with Prism and filters correctly and find a real solution for my eye. I can't thank Dr Scott enough for helping me! Again thank you very much Dr Scott!

I have been a patient of Dr. Klasman for a few years. I am very happy with the time and attention that he provides. He listens to my concerns, includes me in making decisions about the health of my eyes, and never makes me feel rushed. As far as buying glasses from them, I have never felt pressured or ignored. On the contrary, I feel that there is a sincere desire to provide me with the best possible lenses/glasses for my needs.

This was my first appointment since the former doctor retired. I was very impressed with the new doctor. Dr. Soloman took the time to explain things to me and was very thorough. I look forward to being his patient for a long time. Highly recommend this practice.

Very caring, thorough and professional. This was my 3rd yearly exam and each one was a pleasant experience, for an eye exam. I travel out of my way to see Dr. Klassman at Federal Hill Eye Care because I feel he is worth it.

I saw Dr. Klasman for several Lasik follow up appointments and he was really great! However, his front desk staff are extremely unhelpful and cold. I called about scheduling a yearly exam, the lady on the phone went on how my Lasik warranty was voided, and that they didn’t take my insurance and that she couldn’t help me. I was willing to pay out of pocket for the appointment, but was hung up on. Funny part is that afterwards I found out that my warranty was not voided and that they actually do accept my insurance, however I won’t be returning:/

The office was efficient, timely and clean. Dr. Solomon was knowledgeable, gentle and he clearly explained everything. The only wish I have is that they stock some frames that are covered by my insurance.

Came here for my MVA vision test, and Dr. Solomon made me feel right at ease. The online form made registering super-easy, and everyone in the office was friendly and helpful. Will be coming back here to get prescription sunglasses and glasses soon!
