Consistently have to wait at least half an hour before your scheduled appointment to be seen. This office always over books appointments and the waiting room is frequently full. The staff is very friendly, but the wait is killer. Do not make any others plans because you will be in the office for over an hour.
It was a horrible experience. The front staff did not check me in until after 15 minutes of waiting. I arrived at 1025 for a 1030 appointment. Around 1045 I was called to fill out forms. I waited and nothing until I asked at 1115 why I’m waiting so long. I was told “we will be right with you” - I checked my phone and noticed my appointment changed from dr Grey at 1030 to Dr Melbs at 1140. No one told me. I got up and asked and the receptionist said “oh you are next” and goes to the back to alert someone. A friendly staff member came out and helped me I to a room, and explained there are issues w my insurance, that is the reason for change. I explained, I am still working and if someone told me I would have rescheduled. I waited in that room until 1215 when no one came I flagged someone down and she said “we will be right with you”. A resident started to look at me eye, I explained what it was as this was not the first one and I would just like to get it drained. He said the doctor will be right with me. 12 30-1240 he walks in and says to me there are issues w my insurance that’s why it’s taking so long. I started to gather my things to go home when he says give us ten more minutes. I waited. Dr Melbs walks in about 10 minutes later and tells me they couldn’t get a hold of my insurance. She would be happy to schedule me the following week. I said “probably” and at this point I just wanted to leave. I sat for about two hours with nothing done to my chalazion. This was a horrible experience. Fun fact: I scheduled an appointment at Johns Hopkins the next day and was seen in under 20 minutes with amazing results. Maybe this is a case where you folks can shadow Johns Hopkins and receive best practices on how to treat the patients. Johns Hopkins is the gold standard, the bench mark to reach - mirroring them will only lead to happy patients.
Love these people and I have been seeing them for a long time. Some of them came from Hopkins. This is a hard job and it requires people with a big heart. So glad to have been seen at this location.
Very good eye doctors and the staff is friendly and nice and very kind and they take there. Time to help u out will always come here and keep come I ng here for years now
Great staff! The place definitely gets busy and a bit hectic at times but the staff handles it really well. Needed to see a doctor asap, they asked a bunch of questions about my elements, determined who on staff I needed to see. Had to wait awhile once I got there but got the care I needed and most important got in same day.
April 18, 2022 My husband had eye surgery performed by Dr. Kenneth John Taubenslag who's an exceptional doctor. He is upfront, realistic, professional, and specific. He made it clear that his only priority was to keep him safe at all times. He was straightforward about the entire process from start to finish. I was very impressed with how he carried himself as a specialist. Unfortunately, our family has had a large number of surgeons to deal with over the years and he is ranked at the top with Dr. Abzug@ Oriole Park & Dr. Herzenberg @Sinai on Greenspring both in Baltimore City. Thank you very much for your superb care
Wow I've never been here before but I just called with questions and concerns for my vision issues and the clerks are being so wonderful friendly and helpful. they are calling my insurance to help me. The best most wonderful service I've ever received.
Dr Jana Bregman is the most unprofessional Dr I have ever been to. She was extremely dismissive, rude and borderline argumentative while never actually addressing any of my concerns after over an hour of being there. This woman had a very catty and sarcastic demeanor about her and if you are planning on visiting this facility I would HIGHLY recommend reconsidering and finding someone else. I’ve never felt the need to write a bad review for anyone but I really felt strongly that this needed to be said because I left this facility very upset with my experience and with none of my concerns addressed or taken seriously. If I could give a zero for this lady I would.
The staff was awesome they treated me and my daughter like people and not patients. I work in the medical field and I am a consumer relations specialist who takes customers care to heart. I was over pleased with the level of care my daughter received, the day prior to us going we were at Visionworks and they told me my daughter needed corrective glasses. She had been fight what we thought was pink eye for 3 weeks. I decided to get a second opinion and called University they told me to bring her right in the same day. As soon as we walked in the young lady and the nurse at the front desk greeted us with a smile they took one look at my child and said her name. Without a wait they took her right back to check her eye. The doctors were extremely caring and I could see the level of concern for her vision. They listened to all my concerns never making me feel like the overly worried mom. I am switching my entire family and they will be the go to from now on.
Called with fear of having retinal detachment … was given the run around for almost a week and the last person hung up on me.
