French Market Inn

We decided we wanted to visit NOLA for the first time and didn’t make hotel reservations anywhere. When we asked for a recommendation, we were told “next door is pretty accommodating!” by a local coffee shop owner. We cannot not thank her enough for doing this! As soon as we walked through the doors we were greeted by Cory and Charles. They made us feel so welcome. Cory even took the time to give us food and drink recommendations on a city map! He was the absolute best, very hospitable and polite! The rooms were absolutely gorgeous, very historical and amazingly clean. We just loved this place. Everyone just made is feel so welcome, the housekeepers, valets, bellhops, I mean everyone, so we decided to stay the rest of our nights here! We will definitely stay here again if we ever come visit again! Thank you all for being so kind!

Perfect location to restaurants, shops,Jackson Square, bourbon street and the river. Great staff. Very personable. Loved the New Orleans feel and nostalgia of this hotel. The room was nice. Though there was a constant buzz in the room that may have been the air condition but it's an old hotel that has been kept up very well. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in new Orleans. You do have to pay for parking daily which is a bit expensive so keep that in mind.

A charming and atmospheric hotel in a great location! Stayed here with a friend over the weekend. The room was extremely spacious and clean, and the balcony was incredible! Wayne and Eric were incredibly nice and helpful. The only thing to be aware of: if you get a balcony room, the trains come by late into the night and early in the morning, and they love blowing their horns. This is, of course, in no way the hotel’s fault. But consider bringing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper!

The French Market Inn was in a great location for us to walk to almost everywhere in the French Quarter. The staff was amazing!!! So friendly and helpful! I liked that the building was older and furnished with older furniture. The courtyard was beautiful, shaded in spots and sunny in spots. It was too cool to use the pool. Cons: The bathroom vent and heating/cooling vents in our room needed to be cleaned. The ironing board needed a new cover it was stained and thin. We would stay there again!!!

We stayed here a week, & we will definitely be staying here when we come back. It is so close to everything we were able to walk every where. The hotel staff was amazing. Corey os the absolute sweetest and kindest person ever!? His food suggestions were in point and he knew a lot about New Orleans and what activities we should do. Would highly recommend this hotel, especially if traveling with a little one. Staff are friendly and helpful, and we felt safe here

EVERYTHING about this place was absolute perfection. The rooms, the hot water and awesome pressure in the shower, the comfiest beds of all time, but most of all, the amazing staff! Their customer service was beyond exceptional and they are the main reason I’d choose this hotel again over any other hotel in the area. From the moment you walk in, you feel like family. Thanks for everything, French Market Inn! You guys ROCK!

Nice property but the staff nudges it into the excellent category. There was an issue with our reserved room prior to arrival making it unusable for the duration of our stay. We were relocated into a lesser but still nice room. The staff went above and beyond to make it right including a significant reduction in the rate, complimentary champagne and profuse apologies. Thanks especially to Wayne and Elysia for their care and professionalism. Great place to stay in the French Quarter.

We stayed here several years ago and the room was very nice with a view of the riverboat. It was a great stay. This experience is very different. We are in a tiny room. The room is clean but is very worn looking including gashes where paint is missing and a very worn out bed. The room is the size a small bedroom. The bathroom toilet overflowed. They got to our room after about 15-20 minutes and unclogged it but the overflow left the floor wet and we had to use the floor mat and a towel to clean it. We are by the pool area which is loud. The whole area echoes. Another pro is the shower was great with hot water, space, and pressure. Though in a great location, I will think twice about staying here again or referring it to business colleagues and friends. Depending on where you stay in the hotel really determines your experience. The front desk is friendly. Parking area is across the street and was not crowded. The hotel has many restaurants and shops in the immediate area. However, the need for updating is very apparent. The room we stayed in was in the corner of one building with no elevator. We did have the help of the front desk to bring up suitcases and stuff. If you choose to stay here, request a room away from the pool and in a building with an elevator.

Great location in the French Quarter. Hotel is very well decorated. Service is excellent. I recommend staying here. Just note that some rooms do not have windows. But these are clearly indicated when a reservation is being made. My girlfriend and I were aware of this when making the reservation. And still the room was clean and nicely decorated.

The rooms were perfect. We had two rooms without windows, which worked out well for sleeping in and not having outdoor sound. The courtyard is gorgeous, I had to have my son model for me before we went to an event. Corey from the Front desk was super courteous and helpful at check in and check out. He and Eric the bellman indulged me in my questions about ghosts. Eric gave us a great recommendation for food our first night, and it is still my favorite meal that we had here. I can't wait to stay here again, and I hope that Corey and Eric are both there when I do!
