Frew Kathryn, MD

Went to Dr. Frew for two visits that went well. She is nice and thorough in her explanation. When you fill out paperwork they inform you of their cancellation policy fee of $25. This is not unlike all of my other doctors in New York. I am always punctual and never cancel appointments. I scheduled a lunchtime appointment for a biopsy a couple days after my skin check. Their schedule was wide open. Well, the day came and I had an emergency and needed to reschedule. When I called to do so, the first thing the receptionist told me was that they were going to charge me. Not a warning, or a “why are you canceling?” or any kind of understanding, considering i was a brand new patient. So I didn’t reschedule. I’m not returning. They proceeded to borderline harass me for the $25 late fee for weeks. I guess they think $25 is more important than the future money they would make from having me as a patient. I think cancellation policies can be important in protecting a business from patients taking advantage and continually canceling, but it must be used with discretion and common sense. The day I canceled my appointment was the day I found out my dog had cancer. Not that it matters to them, but just to say that you don’t know what someone is going through. Try to be human first.

Went in to have a rash on my legs looked at. Dr. Frew examined my legs for about 45 seconds before telling me I had a chronic skin condition with no treatment. I looked up pictures of it when I got home and didn't think it looked anything like my rash. Dr. Frew stood by her diagnosis having performed no tests at all. I went to another dermatologist who told me it was a type of dry, inflamed skin. He gave me a cream and it was gone within 5 days.

Loved my first appointment with Dr. Iyer today. Great staff, friendly and efficient. No wait time and great care.

The best Dermatologist I have ever seen, great for medical and cosmetic dermatology. Knowledgable, friendly, and follows-up sincerely.

Dr Iyer is a wonderful doctor. I highly recommend him. He knows what he is doing!
