As a first time pet owner, I was super nervous about choosing a vet. Dr Cohen & staff made my & Luna's 1st visit to the vet better than I could have ever hoped for. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Dr Cohen & her assistant (I think Candace) did a great job explaining what immunizations Luna needed and what to expect during the first year as it relates to immunizations and well visits. I had a fair amount of questions & Dr Cohen was thorough in making sure I understood everything. When they gave Luna her shots, they let her eat a treat at the same time so she wouldn't be upset by the shot. It really worked- Luna acted like she didn't even mind the shot because her treat was so good :) I'm really impressed by how nice everyone is here. You can really tell that they care about the pets and enjoy what they do! Front desk staff was awesome, too! Overall A+ experience!!

The quality of care is very good, and this is the only hospital in DC that offers 24-7 service. In my case the latter actually saved my pet's life. At the same time, they will have no qualms about squeezing every single penny out of their patients with high bills and multiple referrals to specialists.
After spending more than $8,000 this month to treat my cat, I called today with a very simple question. The answer: come in and make an appointment (e.g, spend another $200). Use these guys when you have an emergency or if you have good pet insurance -- otherwise look elsewhere!

My partner and I had to bring our cat in around midnight after she ingested some string we were using to play with her (despite the common thinking, string is actually terrible for cats if they ingest it; always keep an eye on them if you use it for play!) We called and they told us to bring her in. They were able to quickly process and treat her. Throughout this stressful and late period they were kind, professional, and caring, not only with us, but with everyone and their animals who came through. They appear to be the only option in the DC area for 24 hour emergency vet service. Thank God they are a good one.

I love Friendship and so do my dogs! They have the best staff in the area! You truly get what you pay for! You can call them day or night with a question and they are always helpful! I highly recommend them !

The triage Dr on call committed what I would consider to be criminal and unethical acts to convince us to leave our dog overnight. When we checked in with her at 6 p.m. In the evening on day one, she stated that our dog still had a high fever and needed to stay overnight. The following day when I checked her chart, my dog's temperature was listed as stabilized at noon on day one. So 6 hours she was without a fever, the doctor said oh I just checked her chart, she has a fever. This was an obvious lie in a scam in order to get several extra $1,000 from us. The money means nothing to us. However, being scammed by a low-life Petty criminal is quite upsetting. I wish that I would have reported this to a municipal or District regulatory agency when it happened.
