Pretty clean place for the dogs and they have nice areas with toys for them. I really enjoyed going here. The staff isn’t too friendly at all. No one greeted me or anything the whole time I was there.

This was by far the most present animal shelter visit my husband and i have ever had. We live in a different county and the shelters near is are different, with the dogs in isolated kennels with no touch allowed. Here they have split barn style doors and treat buckets allowing potential adopters to feed, pet and interact with the animals on a more personal level. Staff was so warm and welcoming.

Reasonably priced vet services. The appointments fill up fast. If you need an appointment for a critical issue they do not offer emergency services. They refer you to go to friendship animal hospital for emergencies. Friendship offers 24hr emergency service and is expensive!!!! They are closed on the weekends and do not offer services when they have a vaccine clinic.

They always have so many animals to choose from, but not because they're in there for an awful amount of time. Best shelter in the area!

My sister and I had a horrible experience, while there my sister was waiting to adopt her kitten. My sister had called and reserved the following day for a particular kitten. The kitten was still available. Once we arrived at the humane society, my sister signed in for the kitten by its assigned name. When we arrive to the viewing area to bond with the kitten, my sister was distracted, by being told to wait in the lobby by a counselor. Only to have the same counselor, giving the kitten to another person! Had I not been in the viewing area, asking the the very same counselor, why was this person being given my sister kitten! We had been waiting for over an hour and half to bond with the kitten! (Only one adult with her daughter in the cat area) When these two individuals just walk in and was ready to take my sister kitten! My sister, the kitten and I was then placed in a bonding room with the same counselor to complete the adoption, while the other two individuals took pictures of the kitten. Happy to say Naomi is now enjoying her new loving home with my sister.
