Ho-ly cheese! This cheese shop is amazing! Got to speak with the owner and grabbed a few cheeses to fit the event we were going to that night. He was so helpful and let us try a good few. And we loved the cheeses we bought. If you want good cheese in Madison, you definitely have good options, but this is number one by far. Great place to go for lunch too. So many good options.... Will definitely be going back.

Walk in, and the smell pf delicious cheeses envelopes you. Look for one or two types (or make a request) available for sampling. For lunch, they have good prepackaged sandwiches and fresh made salads.

Love, love, love Fromagination! From the minute you walk in the door and that glorious cheese aroma fills your nostrils, you know you’re in for a treat. While there are store with a broader selection of cheeses, I appreciate the curation of the cheese offers featured at this store and how the knowledgeable staff will help guide you to your cheese nirvana. The odds and ends section (aka The Island of misfit Cheese) is a fantastic way to find new favorites without completely emptying your bank account. Fromagination is more than just cheese, there are dozens of locally sourced condiments to make the perfect cheese board at home (Quince & Apple preserves, Potter’s Crackers, honey from Mad Urban Bees, etc.) Fromagination is an under-appreciated lunch option – the sandwiches here was superb!

Cheeeeese! Walk in and bathe in the aroma. Staff was really knowledgeable and helpful in understanding what we were after. We were able to sample a variety of cheeses to find exactly what we really wanted

The James Madison salad is probably the best salad on this side of the Mississippi. This is a local shop that defines the best of the Madison area. The friendly customer service is beyond exception; always.
