Food is consistently good. Servers are polite and efficient. Long beer list, but not the selections I would have made. It's hard to choose a beer; the beer list could be curated better. Coopers Tavern is solid, but I usually find myself preferring somewhere else. There's often another restaurant nearby that's as good or better with less of a crowd. I guess that means Coopers is popular.

This place is fantastic. I went on St. Patrick's day and the menu was Irish themed, bagpipe music was playing in the background. On any other day, the food is great and tasty. The drink menu is very nice. Absolutely nothing but positive things to say about this place. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely amazing! Great atmosphere, service, food, and drinks. Staff offered suggestions on local beers and menu items, none of which disappointed! Fish and chips were crisp and the tartar sauce had it's own local spin. Lively environment even in a Sunday. Close proximity to Madison's state capital building and hotels. (Was approximately one minute from the hotel.)

Our group of four had lunch at The Coopers Tavern on a recent Monday. We were given the semi-private "snug" room which was very fun!. Our waiter (the bartender?) poked his head in through a small window adjacent to the bar. He was super friendly and helpful. Food was very good. Would definitely return.

Happy with meal and great beer selection. Only complaint is awareness, walked in the door at 2:35pm and they just switched from lunch menu to very limited bar menu. All good, just wish I would have known that so I would have arrived prior.
