Memorial Union Terrace

Beautiful spot to enjoy the lake! Stone terrace that goes right along the edge of the lake so you can put your feet in if you want to. Picnic tables, a pier, a place to buy pizza, beer, ice cream...sometimes our son has come across a bonfire there with music even. Great spot on campus that's open to public enjoyment as well. Not sure if there are limitations of any particular parts to alumni or students only as we didn't see or experience that. Played cards on a picnic table and enjoyed the sun and water at the edge of the terrace. Very nice!

The terrace is absolutely beautiful in the summer. The chairs are always clean and there are outlets outdoors for those who are trying to get work done and enjoy some sunshine. It's a great place to buy a pitcher and hang out with friends. They also have a late night outdoor movie series.

Great space along the lakefront. I prefer early mornings when the crowds are small. It’s a great spot to enjoy a cup of coffee.

A quintessential Madison experience. It's a lakeside patio with several food options, beer, ale, and musical options. Parking is kind of a challenge, but don't let that stop you.

Never disappoints, but you already know that. Nice job on the renovation! If you’re not in the know: pitches of beer, brats, burgers and corn on the cob sold outdoors by Lake Mendota. What else do you want?
