Galanga

Solid quality Thai food at reasonable prices with good service. I particularly enjoyed the pad thai at lunch today -- very well put together with exceptional noodles. Don't expect fancy decor and you won't be disappointed. Street parking is limited during lunchtime, but available with a little searching.

We went here just based on a search, and we we're thrilled. We got three kinds of curry, pad Thai noodles, satay and fresh rolls. All were so good, perhaps the best I've ever had. Parking on a weeknight was easy, service was good. Will be going back next time I come to Tacoma.

Best Thai in town. I alternate between here and Silk Thai. Their spicy chicken with sweet bazil is delicious, and made differently than any Thai place I've been to. You really can't go wrong with any dish here. The pad Thai is the only dish that I feel is very much like all other Thai places.

Thai food really isn't my thing, so I can't speak to if it's good or great at Galanga. The various dishes have all been cooked extremely consistently to that same salty-sweet spot -- the kitchen is clearly hitting their mark. Vegetarians and vegans go crazy for this stuff. Service is good and I've yet to have to wait for a table on lunch breaks, so I'm doomed to continue sort of enjoying Galanga whenever my dining suggestions are outvoted.

Love the scenery. Owner is very nice & welcoming. The Thai Style Basil & Pad See Ew is amazing & such delicious flavors. Good portions.
