Golden Teak Thai Restaurant

Asparagus prawns is my favorite dish. I love this place. Service and food are very good.

Portions seemed small for the price and I really don't mind the price as long as the food is flavorful but I ordered won ton soup ( worst I've had in Tacoma) texture was weird but broth was good. I also ordered curry with potato and shrimp , only a few shrimp came with it and rice needed to be ordered on the side . I also ordered the wide noodles with a gravy, beef and broccoli. Lacked flavor and was more like a soup than gravy. I will not order from this restaurant again. I would recommend the Thai restaurant by skate rink ,across from Wendy's off Mildred or Chili Thai.

Best Thai food anywhere in all of Tacoma. Our family eats there on most fridays. The staff are personal and friendly.

It looks very nice inside. The service was prompt and friendly. Food came quickly and it looked good. Could have been spicier - i ordered 4 of 5 stars. Very reasonable prices.

At long last we've found our Thai restaurant. So many others have been disappointing, whether they were dirty, or the food just was lacking, but not Golden Teak. The atmosphere is calm, the restaurant is clean, and the food is good. Five stars so far. Addendum: Our 2nd visit did not turn out as nice. I ordered the papaya salad, which was supposed to come with prawns. It came with two normal sized shrimp, not prawns, and cost $10, which seemed steep for a bunch of greens and two shrimp. I sent it back and ordered Pad Thai. This apparently was quite the insult to the chef, who then proceeded to complain loudly from the kitchen that if I had wanted more shrimp I should have ordered more. She then fled the kitchen in a huff. Because of this we will not be returning.
