Gardena Recreation Department

I went in today to sign up my daughter for ballet and the receptionist was busy with another person so I waited in line. I needed to borrow a pen but it looked like they were about done, so I decided to wait for my turn to ask. They kept chit chatting for like another 5-10 minutes without even acknowledging I was there. I politely tried to wave to the receptionist so I could fill out my form while I waited for them to be done. Again neither acknowledged me. I waited another 5 minutes when I polite try to ask for a pen, I was ignored. Another women from the back of the office came to ask what I needed. Finally the women stopped chit chatting and when it was my turn, the receptionist didn’t even acknowledge me, didn’t say sorry for the wait, or even asked me what I needed. She kept fixing papers on her desk, started counting her money drawer. Then she finally looked at me and asked what did I want. I paid her and left. It only took 2 minutes for her to help me while I had to wait over 20 minutes to be acknowledged. I understand if they wanted to chitchat and talk but they did not have to be rude and complete disregard me.

It's a nice area to have meetings on the fourth Wednesday of every month there is a viewing Stone club meeting. They also have Bonsai classes

This is a great gathering place where many community oriented activities and meetings take place. Very clean, well maintained with great accessibility and friendly staff!
