Gaver Farm

My family and I love this place. My son can't get enough of the giant slides and we loved picking our pumpkin here in the fall. They also have a place that you can get your own Christmas tree here. There is so much for children to be able to do. There are animals, food, country store, and tones of photo opportunities. Bring in mount airy it is a little drive from us but I feel like it is worth it.

I have never left a bad review but want to save someone else the headache. Went as part of a school tour. Only they didn't do any sort of a tour. We had to wait a long time before they would let us in because they let a huge group (11 school buses) go before our group of twenty something people. And we got there first. They could have at least let us in to play while they were taking the huge group on many hayrides to the pumpkin patch. I can't believe they would schedule so many groups at the same start time. When we finally got in and on a hayride they told us we could only pick from one small area of the pumpkin patch where there were tiny pumpkins that were almost completely already picked and piled up in one spot. Not much fun in that. Then they couldn't be bothered to give us a hayride back (not sure if it was a mistake or their policy) so we had to take a long walk back then up a long, steep hill with small children to get to the activities. They have lots of fun things for kids but it was so mobbed with people that it was hard to keep track of your kids and there were long lines. I would understand and expect this on a weekend but not on a weekday morning when school is in and when we were a scheduled tour. Not sure why they call it a tour when they don't provide anything tour-like only the power to keep you from entering until they feel like it. Simple management on their part could have made it so much better. Sad.

Back in 2009 I proposed to my wife here whilst picking out a Christmas Tree. Over the years we had some kids and keep visiting this place. It just keeps getting better. My kids are 2,4 and 7 and they love playing at this farm. Simple corn mazes, hay, slides that are super fun, sandboxes, log houses, animals, lots of other kids having fun. We had a great time today too. We didn’t get to take the tractor ride to the pumpkin patch this year but I highly recommend this farm to anyone who has children ages 12 and below.

Very nice family oriented Christmas tree farm with a playground for kids, cider and food available. Very positive, festive atmosphere. Nice trees too!

Good selection of Christmas trees. Nice freshly cooked donuts and hot apple cider afterwards. A nice afternoon with the family!
