Germantown Athletic Club

Been watching the community center grow and improve since 2007. It epitomizes what I love about returning to raise my family in Germantown. The continual improvement is impressive. My kids drag me to the gym even on days I try to skip so they can play with friends at the kid zone while I train for marathons on the treadmill. Keep on keeping on!

Love this place, newly renovated weight room. New equipment and excellent classes. Inside and outside pools are also wonderful.

Review for outdoor pool only: The first weekend the pool was open a little girl (she appeared to be about 4 years old) was drowning and the father jumped in to save her. The lifeguard (only one on stand) did not even notice and the pool was not crowded as it was slightly overcast. The lifeguard also did not tend to the child after she was pulled from the water. I was in awe. The family was so shaken I don’t think they wanted to deal with the lack of regard. Also there were bloody band aids on the lawn chairs. I thought one of my children had a cut, then I realized the blood was from an old band aid left on the lawn chair. Very concerning environment for children.

Nice facility. My kids love the childcare area as well. Enjoy going here when I actually get off the couch.
