Reviews
To summarize what I’ve read of all the other reviews, and my own experience, it’s a decent venue to attend as a guest, but it’s absolute trash if you’re trying to work directly with them. My band had a show set up with them (we had advertised and our friends/family had bought pre-sale tickets), and they cancelled two days before. They used some BS excuse about permits, saying they had expired and they couldn’t host any events at all until they got them renewed, which they said could take months, but every other event on their calendar happened right on schedule. When we switched venues and asked for everyone who bought tickets to get refunded, they blatantly ignored us. These people only care about money, and if they think you can’t make enough of it for them, they’ll treat you like garbage.

My band has played here 3 times. Like any cheap local venue, the sound guy was just okay and the setup and sound check were underwhelming and sometimes a little chaotic. However, the venue itself is a great size and creates a great atmosphere for the show (we play rock music). Though the management is a little more laid back (some might call it unprofessional), they are a lot more pleasant to work with than other local venues. Even if you're a brand new startup band, they don't act like they're too good for you, which is a problem with some of the other venues in Provo *cough*Velour*cough*.
We've played at the Velour, Muse Music, The Wall at BYU, and Gezzo hall multiple times each and I would say that overall Gezzo Hall was by far the best place for an amateur band to play in Provo.

Seen my friends band The Djinn (GO CHECK THEM OUT ON ALL MUSIC PLATFORMS) there twice and the acts involved have always been at least decent if not really really good. It's a nice venue its got a lot of space and more sitting space than you think. I enjoy this venue a lot

Fun live venue. Big space, with good sound. Can get a little humid when it's full, but always fun.

This is a very unprofessional and a little bit shady business.
If you've made it this far into the reviews I'm sure you've noticed that people don't have a lot of great things to say and that they've had major issues with Gezzo Hall. I'm part of a band who wanted to play at Gezzo Hall but after reading some reviews I as well as my bandmates were a little concerned. We contacted the owners of the place to confirm our event, which they quickly responded to, but when we asked them directly about the reviews as well as ask for confirmation that similar things wouldn't happen to us we received no response for an entire week. It seemed like the owners of Gezzo Hall were explicitly avoiding our question. This just added to our concern and we did what we thought was best for us and our growing band by backing out of the gig. After we did this the owners of Gezzo Hall began sending us negative remarks and began behaving rather childishly by trying to make us feel bad about our decision. Overall we had a pretty negative experience with Gezzo Hall and were not impressed by their unprofessionalism.
