Glendo State Park

Easily found a campsite with electricity for an extra five dollars. The sites are wooded and nicely separated from your noisy neighbor. There are plenty of pull through sites. The park is conveniently situated near the highway. The trails are easy and scenic. This is a beautiful hidden gem.

Beautiful red rocks and the views were quite breathtaking as compared to the surrounding environment. Would highly recommend visiting and doing a little hiking. The lake itself is gorgeous and would make great wakeboarding!

An awesome place to be outdoors! Over 500 campsites, most of them close to the lake. A mountain bike trail system that will challenge any rider, a lake that has several types of game fish in it and is large enough to water ski in all day.

It was a great place to watch the eclipse. To be honest, I don't know if we were actually on park land or on the adjacent airport. Either way, 6 hours on a flat field surrounded by a thousand people, with thousands more just down the road gives you little feel for the park under normal circumstances. Staff directing traffic were courteous and friendly, and there were plenty of port-a-potties and dumpsters about. Wherever we were, staff put a lot of work into preparations, from mowing the field to setting out and removing (We watched) dumpsters and port-a-potties. My husband met a preying mantis who knew he was the toughest fighter in his weight-class. He was just a wee bit over estimating his weight. Port-a-potties in the background.

Beautiful and super views. Hiking is on trails and very scenic. Wildlife active and always cool to see
