Gosh Ethiopian Restaurant

We just can't get enough of this food. We usually do the lamb combo platter for 2 so we get to try everything. The desserts are also delicious our favorite being the date cake. It is light, fluffy, and perfectly sweet while being deliciously moist. Friendly service puts us at ease. Oh yeah... the Tea is fantastic!

A small but warm, homely experience my family and I had here. I've had homemade authentic Ethiopian and this is the real deal. The staff was personal, friendly, and very good with little children. I recommend making reservations if you have a large entourage. Also plan on arriving early or preordering your meals if you plan on a late dinner. We were unable to take advantage of the full menu because they sold out of a few items. Overall excellent experience.

Slow service but our waitress was very sweet. I think we actually saw the cook show up to Work about 15 minutes after we placed our order. I didn’t like the food but it could very well be the best Ethiopian food ever made. I seriously doubt that though. It tasted like a combination of bad Mexican and bad Indian. I thought the wet spongy tortilla was inadequate to pick up the wet potions of food. There were crispy chicken bits, I think, and I liked those best. Some of the chutney type wet mounds were unrecognizable but I tried it all. I am not a picky eater and am open to anything at least once. I don’t think Ethiopian food is for me. If I am ever in Ethiopia I will definitely try Ethiopian food again. Best of luck to the restaurant and staff.

Great food! The lamb was especially good, but even the vegetarian options were yummy enough to have me going back for seconds. I hope we were going in an unusually quiet period or Knoxville really is missing out on this treat!

Very classy restaurant. This was my first time eating Ethiopian food. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Full of flavor and spice. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be returning.
