It's really fun we sleep there for camp and there is a lake so we can go canoeing.

Sent my kid here for "Resident Camp" on a three day try it program. When she came home she reported that camp was, AWESOME! me I'm a little more reserved.
During her time there my daughter was fed eight meals, that was three evening meals, three breakfasts, and two lunches by her report none of these meals was hot dogs and hamburgers, and while not gourmet meals, they were quite good.
Activities included the typical camp games with swimming and other water activities included, swimming was in the lake.
There is an on site medical staff with either a Nurse or and EMT sometimes both on site at all times and these people do the first aid and handle giving kids that need medication their medication. All girls are checked for lice and have their temperature taken upon arrival for safety of all campers.
Overall the camp does not have that dated feeling, I believe that has more to do with proper maintenance and upkeep of the facilities than their age, you would be hard pressed to find something that wasn't working, cleaned, or painted recently.
If you want to know where that fifth star went I will tell you. Check in is kind of a pain here. We had to check in at no less than four places and I think that might have been at least two too many. The first place we checked in could have been changed to a person that asked if you were checking in and then told you where to park and where to walk to for actual check in and health check, instead they were providing and checking a lot more information here than they should have been. This first check in was causing cars to be backed up onto the road and that was unsafe. The second check in station could could have had a far shorter line if they simply added a sign telling people they only had to check in there if they were having their luggage transported. The third check in station was where you really checked in and got your health check. This station was well run and fairly organized considering the staff was on their game, but girls and parents were like a bag of cats, they had all the answers here and were doing a great job checking people in, directing them, and moving moving them on to the correct destinations. This was the check in station that Girl Scouts should be proud of. Final check in was at the campsite, this where you got your cabin assignment. Parents were allowed and encouraged to help their children to setup their bunk. My only complaint about this area is that they should have told people to setup their bunk then change into swimwear for the swim test. If GSofCT can streamline the check in process, and they are really close, I will come back and give them that fifth star.
Overall my kid wants to return next year and we will be sending her again.
