I was placed on the ground level, and I'm pretty sure my ceilings were 12' high! It has all the features of a Hampton Inn, plus you get the Lake Superior/ore dock view and a salt water pool. Excellent staff too.

I think the hotel is overpriced. However, the rooms were spotless and boasted amazing views. Also, within easy walking distance to many downtown bars and restaurants. I travel often for work and leisure and this made my top 5 best hotel experiences. If we are in the area, we will definitely stay here again!

Modern, recently renovated hotel with a large pool and hot tub area. Staff is friendly, the rooms are comfortable, and there are lots of amenities for families.
If you need/prefer complete darkness during the night, don't book a poolside room - the pool lights don't turn off overnight, and they bleed through under the curtain.

Great place a little cold but the great and welcoming faces at this hotel will warm you right up. They go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable and that you have everything you need.

Overall, I think this hotel is overpriced for what it offers. The breakfast food was awful yesterday; everything I sampled tasted "off." Much of it was mushy and lower quality than hotels at 1/2 the price. Sure, the facility is beautiful and the staff are friendly, plus the room was clean, but that's expected to be a given at this level of hotel. Where they really fell short was the food. My entire family agree that this was the worst breakfast of our entire vacation. Also, when I booked and paid extra for a "Lake View" it'd be great if the roof and facade of the pool wasn't blocking half the view. The View from the 1100 level rooms is really only a partially-obstructed-view of the lake.
