@ Michigan Inn & Lodge

My son and girlfriend visited. I got them a room at the Michigan Inn Nice room. Decorations up to date. Lots of pillows on bed. Nice amenities in room. Close to all attractions. They have a really nice canteen. Pretty much anything you can make in a microwave or toaster oven. Ice cream, drinks, frozen sandwiches, little meals. Great, for fast eating and Convenience. Best of all FREE. Very clean and safe.

Since I’m the keyboard player with the Simone Vitale Band (from Detroit), whenever we have a gig in the Petoskey area (which is at least 2 or 3 times a year) I always tell Simone: “Put me at the Michigan Inn!! Not the Holiday Inn Express!!!” I love the @ Michigan Inn (MI) and everything about it. Even, years ago, when it was a Super 8 or something, I liked the place. The chili and rest of the food is great. Since I don’t have cable TV at my home I love watching the cable TV at the MI whenever there is time: Tigers games, South Park, etc.... Much better than the Holiday Inn. Everybody on the staff is amazing, helpful and friendly. Even when I get to the room after the gig around 2 or 3am if I need a plastic bowl or spoon or something. I would take the @ Michigan Inn any day over the Holiday Inn!!!

Love this place. We're booked for this upcoming summer. It will be a new tradition. No pool but you can see the lake from your rooms. The food is decent.

If this could rate in negative stars I would give this dump a negative 5!!! Teenie tiny rooms, unpleasant paint, parking spaces are tightly crammed together, noisy people and it says they have rooms with views of Lake Michigan, but even after we paid for said room, we were stuck in a lower level room under a covered parking thingy and was told no refunds.

Free cafe, free hair cuts, adjustable beds, great staff, clean at a great value.
