Harris Teeter

Good food here. Good service. Their checkout process could be streamlined in my opinion. Wait times and actual process to pay could be easier or simpler. In my opinion. Otherwise, this store is perfect. Their prepared food is a bit pricy but it is worth the price. I would buy from Harris Teeter again.

The Harris Teeter Bakery on M Street really saved us today. We had purchased a full sheet cake at another store for a large event. Upon pick up (after 5 pm so all cake decorators had departed for the day) the eve before our event, we discovered that it had been very poorly decorated and was really unfit to display. We called HT at 6 pm, (the night before the event, to reiterate) and ordered a cake. The woman on duty said she couldn't promise anything, but she'd do her best. The decorators were at work at 8:00 am and we picked up the cake at 9:30 am. We are SO thankful for their quick and professional service. Thank you for helping make our event a hit!

Very nice store. Hot buffets daily. Parking easy after we figured it out. We were out of town visitors. Staff very helpful. Clean store, well stocked. Great sales.

Location is great and super convenient. However, lines get quite long in the afternoon. Sometimes stocking is an issue and they run out of things. The rolls of produce plastic bags are almost always empty in all but a couple spots. The reason to go here is if you want a grocery store in the capital riverfront/Navy Yard area. It's a passable grocery stores but there are definitely better ones if other locations are an option.

First time in a Harris T. Where I live they don’t have this supermarket. Nice and clean and friendly staff! Good prices and great selection
