Safeway

NORMALLY, meaning EVERY other time I came to this location to shop(which was hundreds of times), the customer service was horrible! The cashier's would rarely greet u, unless u spoke first..and for me, that has been a huge turn off and I prefer the Giant on H street better, due to their customer service. This Safeway is VERY close to where I live, to I find myself DREADING the experience before I even arrive. BUT I must say.. TODAY has been a PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE! They were well stocked, ALL of the employees I encountered..whether stocking the shelves..at the deli, meat dept, hot bar were ALL pleasant! Which was a total shocker. What did it for me was a young woman named Monica at the checkout, she was PERFECT! I mean, from the customer service aspect, the friendly smile, awesome speed and politeness brought stars to my eyes. This store is in the process of being a welcoming, warm, delightful, friendly, well stocked establishment and I am over eager to see what the future may bring. PLEASE, PLEASE keep up the great work! One person can make a difference...that may hopefully change everyone in a positive way in the store. I thank you Employees of Safeway for FINALLY showing care, concern and friendly smiles to your customers. Every little bit counts and I personally have noticed the difference. From this day forward, I will not dread the idea of coming to this location..all because a handful of employees, including security were all happy, friendly, warm people. Nothing negative I have to say about my experience today, and I feel blessed for that. Thank you Monica! Thank you Safeway! Until next time....lol

I am truly going miss all the wonderful employees at Safeway located at 415 14th st. Kentucky Ave, SE. They closing to renovated the to the up coming development in the neighborhood. I have been a loyal customer for years there. I am truly heartbroken to see them close, I know it to improve, but it's like taken apart you away for good. John, Traci, Ms. Juanita, Sherri, the cashiers, the guys in produce and countless others who have come and gone through the years. I will miss you very much. Love a loyal customer. I love this palce even though it is packed they have the best fried chicken omg...they be getting down on that chicken and the customer service is awsome very helpful and friendly service....

I shop here on a weekly basis because its the closest to my home but the store and employees have gone downhill drastically in tge past 3 years.One of the employees there us the most unprofessional people ive ever encountered in my life! You can tell right off tge bat that she hates her job!! Sge was transfered from another Safeway because of her attitude and no matter how many complaints they still do nothing about her! Also they cant seem to keep anything in stock anymore!
