This is a super cool family friendly place that's the perfect option for when you can't decide where to go for dinner! There are several different market style food stands with lots of delicious options. I really love places like this where you get a sampling of the local food scene all in one place! There is also plenty of outdoor seating and it wasn't overwhelmingly busy when we went on a weeknight. Overall I would highly recommend this place based on the relaxed atmosphere and the variety of options, along with its convenient location!
My husband and I tried TaKorea and both got bowls. They were bursting with a fusion of flavors but the meat could have been a little more warm for my personal preferences.

Vacationed in Washington DC for 4 days and I visited this place last. Very upset because if I found this place sooner I wouldn't have went anywhere else. Very cool atmosphere. People weren't begging for money but better yet they showed you why they deserved to get paid. Don't be afraid to get past the construction zone and the walk to get to one of the coolest places in Washington.

Visited during Saturday afternoon chaos, enjoyed our visit anyway. The unique selection of food choices was a plus. Our party of six lunched from different vendors and shared our selections. Noodles, pulled beef, dumplings, Mediterranean wraps were all good choices. Seating was an issue, but we did find a table eventually.

Great market with a wide range of dine-in options as well as high quality meats, cheese, ice cream, produce, spices, bread etc. Prices are high but so is the quality. This is a great destination for a Saturday afternoon food crawl, especially when no one can decide what they want to eat. This is also an excellent place to recommend to out-of-town guests.

If you visit DC, you must visit Union Market. Since it was our first time, we shared dishes from each restaurant and everything was delicious. The diversity of cultures represented here is amazing. Lots of shops nearby. Don't let the alleys, dumpsters and graffiti distract you. We stumbled upon this gem by mistake and it became a highlight of our trip.
