We wouldn't trust our daughter's Yanagisawa alto and tenor Saxophones to anyone else when it's time for regular maintenance or repairs.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Hauer Music targets people who are uneducated on what they need, who have lots of money, and are desperate at this point. I broke my clarinet and needed to get it fixed. On the paper work it shows that the piece they fixed was $10.00(YES TEN DOLLARS), however, at checkout my total came to be a whopping $153.00. Now before we turned the instrument in, they only said we'd pay about $100.00 if that. They gave me a loaner until my instrument was fixed, in which I should have meticulously checked before we walked out. They also said that we would have our instrument back in two weeks which came out to be one month. When they finally called, they lied about trying to contact us for weeks. People should not have to spend their hard earned money that they need to be tricked out of it. I recommend no going here at all unless you absolutely know what you are doing. One store I recommend is mccutcheon music, they are very professional, always trustworthy, and have much greater reviews. Although the workers are nice, they are also very negligent. The lady at the checkout was told twice to write a free warranty on our receipt and did not so we had to come back and get it written on there. Maybe it was a mistake but who knows. also $20.00 for a 10 box of reeds, and the man told me they were on sale. NEVER GOING BACK.

I miss the old location. Great staff. Wide selection of gear. Music makes the world go round.

I have purchased many high end items from Hauer and I have always found them to be knowledgeable and reasonable. I have taken my guitars to other companies....never again! They screwed up my 12 string and didn't even bother repairing the item that I reported.

I used to know when they were in downtown Dayton 3 years ago. Prices are higher than online stores but staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have a variety of instruments and accessories which helps figure out what's best for you. Sadly they didn't have one of the items I wanted to try out but I didn't leave empty handed.
