Heritage On 9 Restaurant & Tavern

Really nice tavern area and outdoor dining. Inside seating is a little bland so eat in the tavern. Service was on top without being in your face. Good was excellent and well portioned. Try any of their chowder! Only issue is getting their out route 9 is not on the way to much else.

Being from Maine and the area, I have to say that I was disappointed. Service was ungodly slow and out waitress seemed to be very "out of it" to put it lightly. Once we got out food it was average. I ordered a burger which should be pretty fool proof. I ordered it medium well. It was well done, which is not a bad thing expect it was so dry it was hard to eat without tons of ketchup. When it came to the bill we tried to spit it on 3 cards that didn't work. Then tried to do two cards and the rest cash. I ended up getting charged the whole bill... Thank God for venmo. In all I would come here for the beer selection, it is wonderful. But the food was over priced and average for that area of Maine.

Worth the trip. We traveled the 8 miles out on Route 9 because a couple of my wife's classmates went there last week and spoke highly of the restaurant. My wife had the hot buttered Maine lobster roll. I had their French onion soup and the 5 oz. filet mignon. The food was prepared perfectly and their service was excellent.

Absolutely an amazing experience. Clean comfortable place. Courteous service. Great food and fair pricing. Great for couples..family. singles. Dress up or down everyone fits in here and welcomed. Plenty of parking. And as a bonus if you sit near the kitchen you you here the staff singing.

I've been waiting forever to find a place like this for breakfast near Brewer... Eggs Benedict AND biscuits and gravy! Clean, great service, excellent food... can't wait to come back!
