The Harbor Room Restaurant

Date Night with my husband at the Harbor Room is our new favorite dinner out! Great beer selection and cocktails. The food is spectacular! My husband goes for the steaks which are done to perfection. I love the Southwestern Chicken and the buttermilk chicken tenders. The fish and chips were fresh and lightly fried. The service and proprietors are friendly and efficient.

Best food around. Great food, excellent service. The new owners are wonderful. Certainly worth our drive down to the Harbor. The fish and chips are incredible.

I found the Harbor Room after photographing nearby New Harbor. It turned out to be the first of 4 nights I decided to have dinner there! The atmosphere, the food, the staff were all amazing – and, that despite being open only a few weeks. Over 4 nights I enjoyed some amazing food as well as meeting some really wonderful folks – the dining room and bar was a friendly mix of “townies” - as a couple folks I talked to described themselves - as well as foodies and visitors like me. Owners Taylor and Cerina have assembled a great team, created an awesome menu, and developed an amazing offering of great food, music, and atmosphere. Harbor Room was a real highlight on my extended stay exploring and photographing Maine – definitely highly recommended!

It's clear that this restaurant is new and still finding it's way. The wait staff was very friendly but there just weren't enough of them. That said the food was very good if a little pricey. My lobster mac and cheese was buttery perfection with generous chunks of lobster throughout. The grilled calamari appetizer was delicious but very small for the $13 price tag. The food and check both took a bit long to arrive but if you're not in a hurry it's well worth the stop.
