Typical of what most of us can only dream of. Amazing entrance you can only imagine what it felt like back in the day. The views are amazing. The hotel is a cut above. The gift shop offers some great furniture that is hand made and priced accordingly. I hate to say the cost is worth it, but it is. The car barn is another part you will enjoy. It brings you to a time in the past that takes you from a model t to the Edsel. It is not big, there are not hundreds of cars. Just a feel of life at the time when the world changed.

It's apparently the village that Biltmore built for the working folk. It is now a bunch of trendy shops and art galleries. Some of the shops you would see at a mall but some of the galleries and clothing stores are expensive, beautiful, creative stuff. The old buildings (with a face lift) are quaint and lovely. It's a charming place to stroll and shop. Make sure you stop by the bohemian hotel. Fun!

Beautiful as always. Visited on Easter/Spring Break this year. Even my youngest daughter who is 8 was interested in the 'old timey' things she saw. Gorgeous grounds although the all the trees weren't fully in bloom as at home near the Coast. Get the year round pass and visit over 2 days! We couldn't see it all in ONE so we got a discounted year pass and don't regret it. Had a blast. Easter Egg hunt was organized, but my 8 y.o. was scared by the HUGE crowds so she chose not to participate but watch. My 1st date w/my soon-to-be hubby was here 20+ years ago. Great memories!

It was a nice area to spend an hour or two. If you're not looking to shop, there's not much else to do here. Has some of your usual outlet type stores and a few more local ones. We did a walk around and realized we had seen it all.

Such an impressive place to visit. You can run the self guided tour in a couple of hours but for a few bucks more there are also audio assisted and guided tours. Beautiful grounds and gardens. A MUST SEE place.
