This place is very hit or miss. I had take out several times and i enjoyed the crispy duck, their fried rice and some other entrees. Their appetizers are definitely not worth it though. Their wonton was overdone, hard, and had the tiniest piece of meat in them. There are better Chinese takeout options for sure.
This has been another favorite place for my son and I to eat in Portland for years! We drink tea here and eat the Hot & Sour soup, General Tso's Tofu, as well as the Vegetarian Spring rolls. It’s delicious and they give you good size portions. The staff have been nothing but wonderful & kind to us.
Pure quality, consistency and freshness! You can't get a better crispy duck or salt and pepper squid anywhere in 100 miles. These two dishes are beyond amazing!
Been ordering here for years. Aways ask for extra spicy and always get mild at best. Food is cold to luke warm. They refuse to listen to spice preferences but offer mild to extra spicy. Just very disappointed given the price. Can't even eat the food I ordered because it tastes cold and has ZERO flavor. Sorry HoHo but you lost a valuable and regular customer. Please listen to customer preferences when you offer options.
Amazing food! The pepper salted squid and honey walnut shrimp has a good crunch to it and the satay beef noodle soup had hints of pho, but a thick, gravy like broth
While generally soso, The General Tso at HoHo is amazing! Great staff, helpful service, good food, a true family run Chinese dining experience.
Ordered seafood with mixed vegetables. Their idea of vegetables is a large head of broccoli. For seafood, it’s mostly squid. Kind of tasteless.
Delicious food! I ordered to go for pick up, the portions were great, the food was hot, and everything was delicious.
