Holiday Inn Express Devils Lake

The room was clean, although sparsely decorated and furnished. Electrical outlets are few, which made charging watch and phone difficult when the alarm clock and lamps we're plugged in. Breakfast is nice, with plenty of selections. Overall it was a nice stay.

This hotel is located close to the shopping and restaurants. It has a spacious lounging area south nice couches and chairs around a fireplace and a tv. Directly beside it is a nice breakfast area with a lot of choices of food and beverages for your morning meal. My husband loved the cinnamon rolls. The exercise room has 4 workout machines and a tv with a variety of weights, ball and yoga instructions on a poster. The rooms are spacious with nice big bathrooms. It also has a nice lounging chair with a footstool, desk with a chair, a microwave and a small refrigerator. The pool was perfect as it was nice and warm! Beside it was a hot tub with chairs and tables to sit at. We enjoyed our 2 night stay here.

Stayed 4 nights with coworkers on a business trip at this location and was upgraded to a King bed for my Gold rewards membership. At the time of this review, there are very few chain motels in this small city, so consider your options. No complaints and for an older hotel it is kept up well, in opinion. Everything is HIE standard. The pillow top mattresses are comfortable although worn down to a horseshoe shape from age. Consider new mattresses when the budget allows. Rooms were very large and they were clean. The breakfast was pretty good. The location of the hotel is convenient to everything you would like to do in Devils Lake. This is right at the top of hotels I have stayed in while visiting Devils Lake.

We do a radio show in the Twin Cities called "The 4 Outdoorsmen" and sneak to Devils Lake two or three times a year. Not only is the fishing and hunting as good as it gets, the stay here was also. Great staff, nice amenities and CLEAN!!! To me, that is an extremely critical quality. Trust Stru; you will be very please with Holiday Inn Express, Devils Lake.
