Definitely find another place to stay. I Stayed one night here after photographing a 10 hour wedding; checked in at midnight. Exhausted and ready to take a load off, I walk up to the front desk to check in, and it takes a solid 5 minutes for the front desk worker to look up and see I’m there. I get to my room, put my things down, walk around, and the room looks like it hadn’t been vacuumed in several stays. See video below. I go to take a shower, turn on the water, and just as I’m about to step in, notice there are several, dark, blatantly obvious PUBIC HAIRS on the shower walls. See video below. Needless to say, I skipped the shower that night. I spoke to the front desk worker about these cleanliness issues and she gave me a $25 refund. I feel like if you’re paying $160/night, these things should not be overlooked. I’m giving this place 2 stars because the linens and towels were fine. I usually love Holiday Inn hotels, but I will never recommend staying here to anyone.
I had a week long stay for work. After traveling all day from out of state I finally get to the hotel. My ED had booked the room for me and missed signing a form. They would not allow me to check in, even with my email reservation confirmation, until my ED, who was unavailable at that exact moment, fixed the paperwork. She barely had enough time to call the hotel and ask them to email the papers and told them she would sign as soon as she was able in an hour or so and asked them to allow me in my room, which they refused. So instead of being offered a chair, a glass of water, a cup of coffee, something/anything, I was left standing in the lobby for over an hour with no available seating. Clearly this hotel does not care about customer service. I eventually get to my room and it's pretty standard but my room faced inside the lobby which was insanely bright while trying to sleep. No rest for the weary. Also my air conditioner was on the fritz. There would be a loud thud and it would buzz for 2 minutes and then a loud bang and it would run for 10. It would repeat this every 30 minutes. Yes, I timed it because I wasn't able to sleep because of the bright room. Don't try watching TV either there are only 3-5 channels that work. On another note I refuse to pay $7 for cereal for breakfast. Thank goodness Starbucks was next door. I will not be back and was so happy when the week was over and I was able to leave.
One thing I missed in my room was having a list laminated with restaurants in the area with phone #'s & possibly their hours open, places of interest to see, hours that breakfast was served each day with cost since they aren't included with the room anymore, checkout & check in times listed as well. I also didn't like the incidentals chg of $21.45 per night to my card & then have to wait 2-3 business days to get a refund! In the past I have never had to pay this chg. I wish that they had snack type machines & drink machines on each floor. My room was nice so was the bathroom. You don't get a microwave in it but you still get a mini refrigerator still.
You have to pay to eat at their continental breakfast bar. Nothing fancy...cold cereal, muffins, toast, waffles or pancakes, eggs, bacon or sausage....other holiday inns don't charge for that. Pool was nice but only 5 people allowed in at a time....no exceptions. No hot tube....they replaced it with plants and mulch inside. Otherwise the rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and staff was nice.
Hands down the worst hotel stay I've had. I am here with two other people in the same room, we were provided with 2 towels in the room on check-in and asked multiple times for more and never got them. Eventually, my husband had to go get towels from the pool because we needed to shower more than once during our 4 night stay. The breakfast was horrible, I genuinely don't know how you mess up scrambled eggs but the Holiday Inn pulled it off. Most of the weekend we had to take the stairs because the elevators just never came. Ohhhh and the best part, my room was always lit up like it's 12 noon because they have flood lights aimed directly into the windows. I suggest you don't waste your money here.
I first want to start out by saying that the staff is first rate! I stayed there more than 2 months. When I first got there, I checked in and it was all good. THEN I walked into my room one day and I tripped over a piece of carpet at the door. I told the front desk about it, but nothing was done while I was there. I would however recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Will be back.
The fridge was not working, one of the bedside table had water and sticky stuff on it and the room had no information package about their services, no references to restaurants in the area. When i called about the fridge, they informed me that the maintenance person was not available, also no breakfast was included with accommodation, there was a charge of $7.00 per person. Overall the room was a good size and the bed was comfortable, and the pet rate was reasonable at $25/night.
