Holiday Inn Minot (Riverside)

Stayed here for the first time on a business trip. I would definitely stay here again. The employees were kind and helpful. The hotel and room was clean. The rooms have the coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. It is convenient to have a lounge downstairs. There is not a complimentary breakfast but there is a restaurant in the hotel that serves breakfast. I did not eat breakfast here. However, I ate supper in the attached Ground Round Bar & Grill restaurant and enjoyed the food and convenience of not having to drive anywhere.

Went for the Shaun T event and expo. The conference rooms were nice. The bathrooms we're clean the first time but when I used them in the afternoon it was kind of a mess. The space was good for the event. Event was staffed and seemed very to business without an friendly personality. Not sure if they were hotel or just event staff so I don't want to say it was the hotel. I can't remember the names of the rooms we were all in. Looked at the pool area and it looked great. Only bad thing was that all information said it was the holiday inn but the signage on the building said a different name which really threw me off. Otherwise location was nice.

Didn't have waffle batter set up. Is not complementary so I had hoped for that to be setup but they just didn't for some reason. Other then that breakfast buffet was solid. Room was clean and beds were comfy. Building/guest areas feels fresh, quiet, and calm. Here for a con so I'm having fun but the hotel part is perfect fine. Just a few issues with breakfast.

The hotel is located across from the fairgrounds and connected to a good restaurant. It has a fun pirate ship pool area. They don't allow parties so the pool was not overwhelming with kids. The rooms are dated and could use new furniture. But I would stay here in the future.

They just changed it to a Clarion with notice, was here ten days ago and it was a holiday inn, if that's the transparency the new owner has I'll take my business elsewhere. Rooms are still Holiday inn quality. For now.
