We get that there was a burn ban, but he said a charcoal fire in the grill was fine. So when we lit a charcoal fire in the grill he came down and bitched us out. Soooooo....I dunno. But otherwise this is a nice, quiet, and clean campground but him yelling at is really makes me wanna dock down the rating.

Holiday Island Campground, best kept secret for camping in the NWA area. Highly recommend it for anywhere from tent camping to motor coaches and all in between!

This campground is open to the public, but has preferred rates for residents of the Holiday Island community. NOTE - HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS ON AR187 (Beaver Lake Bridge) means anything OVER TEN FEET MUST GO AROUND. We drove there from KC, so we came down MO86 from Cassville in our 35' Motorhome. The last section along Stateline Drive was probably the hilliest section, so make sure all your cabinets and gear is well secured.
The park has full hook ups (although we never tested the cable TV since we were out with family the whole time) We arraigned our reservations through the associations office since the Camp Host was not on site yet (we reserved in early March for a late April arrival). Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and it was easy for us to find our site (basically anything we wanted but the host had some recommendations that were spot on!)
If you plan to visit the area (or have a full house while visiting your Holiday Island family) and need a spot to overnight, they are definitely worth a call!
