Beautiful centuries-old Plantation well-maintained. Be sure to save some time to walk around the beautiful grounds. We had a very tasty brunch there service was not the best but we ask for another server and she did an excellent job. Owner Kevin is doing a fantastic job. Piece of trivia, old Bette Davis movie Hush Hush sweet Charlotte was filmed here.

Fabulous plantation best gardens of them all! Food was fantastic at the restaurant and the staff was quite helpful. Spent lots of time wandering the grounds due to the numerous sections of gardens. I would give yourself at least 3+ hrs to view the house and all around the grounds. It's worth having lunch or dinner the food was absolutely extraordinary. Viewed the private villas or houses behind the property and they were also very well maintained, cozy and full or enriching amenities well worth the expense to stay if you have time. Over all fantastic experience!

Beautiful grounds, informative guides in period dress. The house has been beautifully restored to it's original (or close to) state. The owner lives on site and even allows tours of his room. There is a full service restaurant to enjoy as well as a gift shop with interesting finds. My only negative is the lack of historical information regarding slavery. It was really not even mentioned. I think for a plantation hearing about the slaves and their lives is kind of relevant. If this was added it would be 5 stars.

My wife and I stayed here for one night. The tour of the plantation house was great. The,home and gardens and grounds are relaxing, and beautiful. The turtle bar is small but quaint. The,drinks that are served are made well and delicious. The next morning breakfast was not so,good. Over cooked and took forever to get the food. And it was crowded at all. Overall, wonderful, place to see nd stay.

Aesthetically speaking this house is incredible and the entire territory around the main structure and Japanese garden are an incredible manifestation of nature and human planning intertwined. The tour of the house is great if this is your first time touring, but lackluster if you have done southern tours before. I didn't like how little our tour guide touched on the lives of the slaves and expected a bit more, but overall I would definitely recommend to see this house for its beauty both inside and out.
