4 individual terrible experiences with this place. Dr. Sherman was highly recommended to me by a family whom had multiple who went to her. Each office visit is paid out of pocket, at $400, which I knew going into it.
The first visit, I was left in multiple waiting rooms for extended periods of time, then waited over an hour for the phlebotomist. I was the last person left in the office after only spending about 10 minutes with the doctor. That visit was more than 3 hours long.
The second visit, I went back for all of my blood work results. For this visit I spent more time with the doctor, and also with a nutritionist. I was given interesting information, and told I needed some more blood work. Again, there was a lot of waiting in between. This appointment took more than 5 hours (yes, 5 hours) and again I was the last person left in the office. I thought they forgot about me several times. This time I brought a book because I knew I was in for the long haul after the first appointment. At $400, I expect better customer service than to sit around for such long periods of time.
In the meantime, after all the testing and blood work, you will receive several bills in the mail from the labs where your tests were sent. You will want to have a heart attack because they come back at $4000-5000 each. Some will be adjusted down, depending on your insurance. But nonetheless, they will be stressful.
Then, I was prescribed a number of supplements and vitamins, all which are available for purchase in the office. Except that not all were in stock so they said they would be in within a week and since it was more than $100 in the order, they would mail them to me for free. I spent several hundred dollars on these supplements, and took a couple home with me. 3 weeks passed when I finally called the office to find out what happened to the supplements that were coming in the mail within a week. They returned the call 4 days later, and left a brief voicemail saying they were going in the mail today... I never called to find out if they lost my order, I just sighed and got the supplements a couple days later in the mail.
THEN, I had my 3rd appointment to go over the additional blood work. This time I made the first appointment of the day, thinking there would be no way they would be delayed. The other times I had one of the last appointments of the day. Well, after sitting for an hour after getting my blood pressure read, I went to the front desk and found out the doctor wasn't even in the office yet. I asked for a refund of my office visit fee. They told me the doctor was downstairs. It took several minutes to issue my refund. The doctor didn't show up in this time, I didn't pass her in the elevator on the way down, and didn't pass her in the parking lot either.
I think alternative medicine could be a very useful thing for many people, but I recommend going elsewhere to find it. This place is a mess, I will not go back.

Had my first appointment with Dr. Sherman yesterday. After seeing so many specialists about how I was feeling the last 3 years with symptoms of fatigue, weight gain, abdominal pain, hair loss, joint pain and what I thought were sun spots taking over most of my cheek, I was moved to tears when I finally left and sat in my car. She got it got me! She didn't look at me like I was crazy and making it up as most my doctors did. She looked right at me (not at a computer or chart) and talked to me. She gave me explanations and suggestions. Her calmness and professsionalism put me at rest that I found someone who actually know what they're doing. She never rushed me so the time she took with me she will take with everyone. That being said, if you want a 2 minute meet greet and get out...don't go to her.
The test she need to understand your body requires blood yes but if you donate blood it's less than that. And some of the test are never done by "regular doctors and specislists" which is why they give you so much medication your body can't handle. ..I can't wait to complete everything and be on my way physically to better health cause mentally I'm already there.

After paying $400 for a full body holistic checkup where they took 30 vials of blood, I scheduled my follow up appointment for 12:00 a couple weeks later. I arrived for the follow up at 11:50, and was made to wait in a room for the doctor until 2:30 when I finally walked out because I had to pick my kids up from camp. After I get these results, I can guarantee that I will never be back here again. What a waste of over 3 hours of my day. I understand that doctors get a little behind during the day, but this was absolutely ridiculous.
