New Jersey Perinatal Associates

My husband and I are really struggling to figure out legitimately why anyone would have rated this place with less than a great review. The front desk is polite and prompt. The technicians are knowledgeable and accommodating. And, most importantly, the doctors are stellar! I've met 3 if them and they each took time to come in and introduce themselves. They are personable and helpful and go over any and all concerns and questions with the utmost care. Four visits total in this pregnancy and have yet to have even a minor issue.

We visited NJ perinatals to have first trimester screening. Appointment was on time. Staffs are very friendly. They answered all our questions. Very good service.

I don't care for this place at all and have to go back for another ultrasound. Not only do they run over 1 hour late for your appointment but I found the staff was very unprofessional. I told the ultrasound tech I did not want to know the gender of the baby and right after she did an unnecessary 3D ultrasound and it was very obvious on the gender. Then the doctor came in did not want to hear my overall health history and just basically put me in a high risk without even listening to me. On top of all of this when I was leaving I had to book an appointment for 20 week ultrasound and the front desk told me I had to make an appointment to see if my baby has defects! Everyone knows it's an anomtomy scan.

Forget your schedule when you visit this place, the triaging is horrible here, they seem to have a system, but it is inefficient. At least 40 mins to an hour wait each time. The staff is friendly though, so they get 2 stars instead of 1.

The woman on the phone, Tina, (who called me regarding setting up the appointment after getting the referral from my wonderful physician) was AWFUL. I asked her if she took my insurance and her response was, "We wouldn't be having this conversation if we didn't take it." A simple yes or no will suffice. She then asks about my ethnicity and my husband's ethnicity. I told her I am white and she said what does that mean? What are you specifically? I told her I am from six different places and I am basically mixed, shall I list them all? Wouldn't it make more sense for her to ask us if we are the particular ethnicities that are usually carriers for certain genetic abnormalities instead of asking an open ended question? No, I guess that would make too much sense.
