International Delights Cafe

Unfortunately, I couldn't find the menu anywhere online to call in a takeout order. When I stopped by I was surprised at how accommodating they were for special orders. The young lady went as far as to mark all of the items (on my takeout menu that are diary free). My order did still come with cheese on the salad (however she corrected it right away). The food was VERY good! The young lady was very nice and I appreciate good customer service! :-)

The food is good, a bit pricey, and the wait was pretty ridiculous. We went at 11 and it wasn't busy. No line. Placed our order at 11:10 and got out food at 11:35. All we ordered was two salads (grilled chicken and Greek) and a side of hummus. The chicken portion on the chicken salad was really small for $8.95...actually the salad itself was really small and was minimal and inexpensive ingredients (lettuce/tomatoes/cucumbers/olives). The hummus was really good. The service and cost will keep me from going again, which is sad cause the hummus was pretty good.

The food has declined in taste, quantity, and general quality over the years, but most distressing has been the PROFOUND, inexplicable decline in service. On my last two visits, I waited over 30 minutes for my lunch order. On the last occasion, I ordered at 1210, and at 1255, they brought the food out, but since I, like most people, had an hour for lunch, I had to have it bagged up to take back. Most distressingly, this was the case for 5 of the 6 of us at our table, and the restaurant was NOT busy at the time. There were no more than 10 other customers during that lunch hour. When I discussed this calamitous service with the owner/manager, he gave a curt, insincere apology and walked off without offering any accomodation for ruining our collective lunch hours. As you might imagine, we will not be taking groups for lunch here again.

Be ready to wait. Went there and it wasn’t even that crowded. My friends and I ordered and the register guy was like it’s gonna take 20-30 and we were making sure about that because we had a class in an hour so we asked if it’s gonna take longer than 30 minuets he was like no thy should be ready in 30 minutes max. We ended up waiting for 50 minutes.

Love traveling from El Paso to eat their delicious lentil soup n chicken salad sandwich. The drive through the pecan groves is so relaxing. Enjoy making the trip.
