Absolutely wonderful place!! The waitress was very friendly and the chicken fried steak plate is amazing!! It’s one of the best chicken fried steaks I’ve had next to Saltgrass! Crispy on the outside and tender steak with NO gristle on the inside! They have a choice of brown or white gravy, I got the white and it was delicious! We were sat by the window and it was a pretty mountain view! I will definitely be back here next time I drive through or even maybe make a special trip!

Update - I don't know which trip was a fluke but I am not interested in going back to find out. The fries were greasy and grossly under cooked. We also did not receive good service. First trip - We weren't sure about stopping in Mayhill but so glad we did. It is the perfect embodiment of a small town cafe. Friendly people, good music, and hearty, fresh food. We will stop by again.

Cute atmosphere in this sweet cafe in tiny Mayhill. Limited menu, friendly service. Nice selection of baked goods.

Stopped here for lunch today. Had 2 good salads, good service in a nice setting.
